A tithe traditionally refers to giving the first 10% of one's income back to God, given regularly as an act of obedience and trust — rooted in passages like Malachi 3:10.
An offering is any additional gift given above the tithe — whether toward general ministry, a building fund, missions, or a special need — given freely and cheerfully (2 Corinthians 9:7).
